Ever since Obama stated that he is for gay marriage, it seems like everybody is in an uproar, especially religious people. I am all for someone voicing their opinion on political and religious views but people are becoming ignorant. Using religion to bash someone's lifestyle of sexuality has never been right to me. Being that I am an advocate of HUMAN rights, I don't condone any bashing whatsoever. Didn't Jesus Christ say "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye" (Matthew 7:5). So marching and doing rallies screaming about how homosexuals are demonic, spread diseases, and are bad influences, maybe you should look into your own life reflect. Half of you'll that are talking all this trash are having premarital sex, has had at least one std, and drink every night to the point where your liver is about to give out. Please stop with the shenanigans.
Stop pointing out religious views to bring your point across only for things that you don't approve. If you're going to bring religion into something, bring it into everything. You can't bash the gays and talk about how God doesn't like this, that, and the third but yet you and your boyfriend has done every freaky thing known to man. You can't bash and scream about how the gays will burn in hell when you smoke weed and make excuses talking about "Its a plant that God made". I'm still waiting on all of you pot heads to point that out to me in the bible, and I guess I'll be waiting until Jesus comes. Oh and lets talk about you alcoholics, the ones who justify drinking themselves into an early grave by talking about how Jesus turned water into wine.
Why does anyone care if the homosexuals marry one another or not? You're not paying for it nor do you have to wake up to them every morning. So why does it bother you? All of these religious hypocrites need to mind their own business and focus on living their lives right, not on the two homosexuals who are in love minding their own business. Am I a homosexual? No. I love men and frankly, I can't see myself dating someone that acts like me. I'm sorry. I need a big, strong, dark, caramel or chocolatey....Ok I'm off topic. But anyway I'm sure the gays are not mad at me because I love men and I'm happy to be straight. Why? Because its not their business and they don't care. I have lots of gay friends. I don't care if their gay because its none of my business and I definitely could care less who they sleep with.
I got invited to a gay wedding reception. Am I not going to go because Jesus Christ does not condone homosexuality? I am going to go, because they are both of my friends, we did a wonderful project together, who am I to judge them, I don't have a heaven or a hell to put them in, they are good people, and I am going to celebrate their union.
Don't question my Christian morals because of this blog post because frankly I am not for or against gay marriage. Its really none of my business who marries whom, gay or straight. I think some of these Christians are jealous because they have been sitting twiddling their thumbs, slobbering at the mouth for a husband or a wife. You ever heard of the phrase "A watched pot never boils"? Yeah. *Steps off Soapbox*
I love you.
