Dear Cast of Married to Medicine,
I did not know who you women were or what your show was about until I researched it and watched several episodes after hearing numerous complaints from viewers. Frankly, I am appalled and I think it is a really good thing that someone took the initiative to create a petition to take this disgrace off of television.
To the women who are married to doctors, if I was your husbands I would take you right to court and divorce you, no matter what the cost is. How dare you put your husbands' reputation, future, and career at stake by acting the way you do on national tv. How dare you? You flaunt around in your designer purses, your name brand shoes, and your high priced weaves and brag about the fact that you are a "doctor's wife". Its sad that you have no identity and you only want to be known as the "ratchet doctor's wife" that have absolutely no class and is an embarassment to not only your husband and his colleagues, but to your childen and women all across the world that are married to doctors.
The fact of the matter is you have too much damn time on your hands. If you are already a wife and mother then you really don't have time to be on tv fighting and disrespecting yourself. But then again you are a bored housewife and any skills you have, if any are not being put to good use. So here is my advice to you, get a skill, a career, a job or do something productive besides melting down the strip on your husband's platinum American Express card at shopping malls.
Now to the women that are doctors on this show. There is no way in hell you are a successful doctor if you have time to act an ass on a reality tv show. Maybe you have a private practice that is not doing so great, thats why you have so much time. However, do you know how hard it is for women, especially black women to be taken seriously in the medical field, let alone any damn profession? Do you know how hard it is for women as a whole to be taken seriously in graduate school, medical school, business school? Maybe you forgot how hard it was for you to be trusted with a patient when you started doing your clinicals or internship. Thanks a lot for setting the next generation of women who go into medicine back a thousand yards.
Its obvious that you have no regard for your profession as a doctor or your reputation for you to even grace this show with your presence. Thanks a lot to all of you for making black women look bad as a damn whole knowing how hard it is out here for us to become successful.
Newsflash!! Bravo and Vh1 and all the rest of these networks out here that broadcast these reality tv shows don't give a fuck about you, me, minorities, or viewers. They only give a fuck about two things: Ratings and money. You give them ratings no matter what the costs and they give you a portion of the money you make them. You don't have to be in the sex industry to be a pimp. And you ladies, are being pimped.
Sincerely,
Tanisha M. Monroe
