My Apology to Megan Good

Early last year when Megan Good announced her engagement and her and her fiance's mutual decision to stay abstinent until their wedding night, still pics of her in a sexual position with another man that was not her fiance surfaced the net. The pictures were from a sex tape that was leaked years ago way before she met her husband. People were reposting and retweeting them everywhere and of course I was one of the people that retweeted it. Megan began explaining the situation and told people that they didnt understand how people can change. She began explaining to people how being abstinent changed her life but people were still cracking jokes and bringing up her past. I didnt realize how hurt her feelings must have been until it happend to me. People bring up the dirt you did in your past and don't even try to get to know the new person you've become.
Of course her husband knows about her past but as a man of God he doesn't look back at the past, he looks towards the future and the woman she is now. None of us are perfect creatures and all of us fall short. Which is why nobody should be judging anybody at all. So I decided to apologize to her. I am apologizing, not for tweeting anything disrespectful, but scratch that. I did tweet something disrespectful..I retweeted that awful pic of her that some no life dug up and plastered all over the blogs just to TRY to ruin her happiness. I conformed to the ignorance of what was going on around me because I thought it was funny at the time. But it isn't funny. I can't believe I had the audacity to laugh at someone else being put on blast for something that happend years ago when I have experienced people doing it to me. Misery loves company and I am not a miserable person, so why would I conform to such foolishness?
I noticed her and her husband on the cover of Ebony Magazine. The February issue were honoring black celebrity couples that have either beat the odds or stood out. On the cover of the magazine, they looked genuinely in love. She expressed how she knew he was her soul mate although they were friends for six years. She has what every woman in their right man wants. I am so happy for her and I am so happy that she has found love. I hope she reads this, accepts my apology and forgive me.
